About this opportunity
This position is responsible for ensuring the safe repair, preventative maintenance, and tracking of all company vehicles in their district. This includes ensuring that the appropriate resources are available to meet customer service requirements.
What your role will look like
Conduct all necessary and appropriate preventative maintenance of company vehicles in a safe, timely, and competent manner
Safely and swiftly correct all deficiencies when reported by operator of the company vehicle
Timely and accurate completion and maintenance of all forms and paperwork including maintenance records and state inspection reports
Consistently comply with company, state and federal safety regulations
Due to equipment, fuels and other products being utilized, this individual must remain alert and focused and otherwise complete work in a safe manner
Report any unsafe conditions immediately and actively participate in all safety and staff meetings as required
Maintain vehicle repair facility to ensure the premises are safe and orderly
What you’ll bring to this role
Education: High school diploma/GED
Experience:
Minimum 5-7 years fleet mechanic experience
Proven Diesel and Gas engine knowledge
Preferred knowledge of and proficiency in the use of diagnostic test equipment necessary to safely maintain company
Experience with CAT, Cumming, OBD2 or similar software
Submit to and pass Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol tests
