Position Overview:
The Solutions Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable technical solutions across enterprise systems to support the company’s construction, estimating, and field operations. This individual will lead the modernization of internal IT infrastructure, guide digital integration efforts, and support strategic initiatives such as data warehousing and BIM coordination. The role involves working cross-functionally to ensure our technology stack aligns with business objectives and improves project delivery efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Architect and maintain scalable solutions across enterprise applications, estimating platforms, and BIM systems.
Lead the design and integration of internal IT systems and software tools to improve collaboration and operational performance.
Develop and maintain data warehousing systems to enhance reporting, analytics, and decision-making capabilities.
Collaborate with project management, BIM, estimating, procurement, and executive teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Lead system implementation projects, including cloud migrations and modernization of legacy platforms.
Ensure all technology solutions adhere to security, compliance, and regulatory standards.
Produce and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and implementation plans.
Evaluate and optimize IT infrastructure, ensuring scalability, cost-efficiency, and reliability.
Provide strategic input on IT investments and innovations relevant to construction and electrical contracting.
Serve as a technical advisor for cross-functional teams and mentor internal stakeholders on solution architecture best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Solutions Architect or similar role; experience in construction or electrical contracting is strongly preferred.
Proven success designing and integrating IT systems, ERP platforms, and cloud-based solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Strong understanding of data warehousing, system interoperability, and enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman).
Familiarity with BIM systems, estimating tools (e.g., Accubid), and field operations workflows.
Experience implementing and maintaining automation platforms, IT infrastructure, and data governance tools.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
