Position: MES Developer (Manufacturing Execution System)

Status: Fulltime, Exempt

Location: Savannah, GA

Seoyon E-Hwa is expanding its U.S. operations and seeking a skilled MES Developer to build and support smart factory systems at our Savannah plant. Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain MES platforms customized for automotive production

Ensure seamless integration with PLCs, barcode/RFID equipment, and ERP systems

Collaborate with operations, production, and IT to improve workflow and data visibility

Support system reliability, traceability, and process automation

Qualifications:

Hands-on experience in MES or manufacturing IT system development

Strong skills in .NET, SQL, and industrial protocols (e.g., Modbus, OPC, or similar)

Prior experience in automotive or process manufacturing is a plus

Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S.

Fluent in English and capable of working in an on-site, fast-paced environment

Reporting and Documentation:

Maintain accurate production records, including output, downtime, and inventory.

Prepare and present daily/weekly production reports for upper management.

Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure smooth coordination and execution of production goals.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.

Experience

1.Programming and Scripting

Experience in languages such as:

C#, Java, or Python

SQL for querying databases

JavaScript (for UI or web-based MES platforms)

Scripting tools (e.g., PowerShell, Bash)

3. MES Platforms Knowledge

Experience with specific MES tools like:

Siemens Opcenter (formerly SIMATIC IT)

Rockwell FactoryTalk

Wonderware/MES by AVEVA

Plex, GE Proficy, or Apriso

4. Manufacturing Process Knowledge

Understanding of manufacturing workflows and processes (discrete, batch, or process industries)

Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or GMP (for pharma)

5. Integration Experience

Working with PLCs/SCADA systems

Integration with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)

Knowledge of OPC, MQTT, REST APIs

6. Database & Reporting

Relational databases: SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL

Reporting tools: Power BI, Crystal Reports, SSRS

7. Version Control & Deployment

Use of tools like Git, SVN

Familiarity with CI/CD practices and DevOps

8. Soft Skills

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Ability to work in cross-functional teams (IT + Manufacturing)

Communication skills for writing technical documentation and training end-users
