Position details
Job Summary
Performs various tasks for the Alumni Relations and Development team. Some tasks include:
Assistance with alumni engagement, event prep/breakdown, assistance with social media, data
entry, research, donor stewardship and general office responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Gather a bank of photos for use on social media across the nation
Prepare short thank you videos for donors who contribute $100 or more
Alumni engagement assistance
Research MSU Alumni on Linkedin
Assist with entering information on the records of recent graduates, including MSU Foundation scholarships received as a student.
Corporate credit card reconciliation assistance
Check and deliver mail
Run office errands on and off campus
Keep the front welcome area clean and alumni friendly
Manage/organize the back storage room
Other Duties and Responsibilities
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Must be a current MSU student
Must maintain satisfactory academic progress
Must feel comfortable performing tasks that are not routine but rather are more complex and sometimes confidential in nature
Must have the ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
Must be able to work somewhat independently, utilizing initiative and a moderate level of judgment, analytical and/or decision-making skill.
Must be able to operate various office equipment such as copier, telephone, etc.
Additional Desirable Qualifications
General direction and limited supervision are provided. Various staff members of the Alumni Relations and Development team will provide training.
