Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer, the IT Manager manages IT related activities of the organization and the IT Department. The IT Manager is responsible for supervising the IT Department. Position exercises considerable judgment in applying professional knowledge in solving technology related problems within established policies and procedures. The IT Manager demonstrates knowledge and skills to appropriately communicate and interact with staff, patients, families and visitors of all age groups while being sensitive to their cultural and religious beliefs.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform supervisory responsibilities associated with the IT Department including employee related issues
Stay abreast of the latest developments in MIS technology and remain highly technically competent at all levels of data processing while striving for enhanced user productivity through implementation of new software technology where applicable, and the implementation of policies that more effectively utilize MIS resources
Assures responsiveness of long-range plans to corporate objectives
Establish and maintain relationships with contractors and equipment suppliers
Ensures confidentiality of patient information and records
Participates actively in Performance Improvement activities
Demonstrates positive personal attributes such as honesty, integrity and professionalism in all aspects of the job
Works to ensure the productivity and effectiveness of the IT staff
Maintains proficiency with computer scheduling system
Serve on committees, as assigned by the CFO, including but not limited to, MIS
Maintains prompt and regular attendance
Enforce company policies and procedures as a member of management for all employees
Present a professional image as a representative of the company
Establish and maintain effective professional working relationships with co-workers, and every level of management
Maintains prompt and regular attendance
Verify timecard at the end of each pay period
Performs related work, as assigned
Completes the required IT/Security trainings prior to the deadline
Effectively evaluates employees by completing 6 month and annual evaluations prior to the deadline
Counsels employees on areas of improvement by completing trainings and PCN's in a timely manner
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
A valid Mississippi driver's license
Minimum of three (3) years' experience in management
Good standing of current applications and trends in MIS technology
Ability to analyze information related to computer technology to assist in directing company management in the selection of software and hardware to meet the needs of the organization
Excellent computer skills
Current ability to communicate in English and excellent verbal and written communication skills
Organizational and planning skills to prioritize work, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and take initiative
Detail-oriented
Works independently with little direct supervision
Interacts with difficult individuals while maintaining composure
Able to work cooperatively as a member of a team
Able to work under stress in a fast-paced environment
Physical and Other Requirements:
Must be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen and physical assessment
Must be willing to do local and out-of-state travel
Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time
Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 lbs routinely
