Precise Systems is seeking a highly self-motivated, successful Payroll Manager in a fast-paced government contracting environment with multi-state, multi-cycle payrolls.

Hybrid/Remote work schedule. 2 days per week in office, in Reston, VA required.

Duties:

This position will have processing as well as supervisory duties in the processing of multiple payroll cycles (semi-monthly and bi-weekly) for a variety of types of employees (1,300+) including employees subject to Service Contract Labor Standards (SCLS) and Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA)

Ensures all assigned payrolls are processed accurately and timely

Leads new hire set up in the payroll system of record

Leads out-processing of employees through the payroll systems

Generates payroll reports, including any fiscal and reporting requirements from funding sources and benefit administration

Lead the timesheet correction process

Calculate and submit various accounting and payroll adjustments such as separation/termination

Research resolve payroll issues for all employees, hourly and salary

Works proactively to collaborate with HR team

Assists with Workers Comp calculations

Required Education:

Minimum High School Diploma

Required Experience:

Minimum 5 years full-cycle payroll experience with organizations of 1,000+ employees (may be progressive in employee count experience)

At least 2 years experience managing payroll team

ADP Workforce Now - Subject Matter Expert

Strong Deltek CostPoint experience in a government contracting environment including CPFF, FFP, T&M, and other.

Proven experience with complex pay requirements for both SCLS and CBA type payrolls

Strong grasp of the end-to-end business process strong understanding of payroll requirements, laws, and regulations for employees working in the United States

Ability to work under pressure prioritize and complete tasks in order of importance

Experience with complex timesheet and payroll situations that require detailed knowledge of system functionality

Government Contracting experience is required for this role

Proficiency using various software, applications, and programs including Microsoft Office Suite

Positive, customer-service focus with the ability to actively listen, elicit information, comprehend customer issues/needs, and recommend solutions

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, follow-through on projects from conception to completion, and complete work accurately and timely with minimal supervision

Demonstrated initiative/self-motivation, eagerness to learn, and attention-to-detail

Flexible and willing to adjust to the needs and priorities of a growing business.
