BEHAVIOR ANALYST(BCBA)-SHINE COMMUNITY SERVICES

MISSION: Chileda's mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals with cognitive and behavior challenges. Chileda Shine Community Services is an innovative program that incorporates a collaborative approach to providing community, in-home, and in-school support to neurodiverse individuals and their families. Chileda Shine uses evidence-based practices with the goal of generalizing skills across environments to improve the quality of lives for children, adults, and families.

SUMMARY: Chileda Shine Behavior Solutions provides in-home, community-based, and in-school behavioral services to families and school districts. This includes behavior assessments, Behavior Support Plan development, and training for staff, clients, and families. The Behavior Analyst conducts Functional Behavior Assessments and develops Behavior Support Plans for children and youth in the surrounding communities. The Behavior Analyst works closely with interdisciplinary teams, including parents, guardians, social workers, and school staff, throughout assessment and interventions. The Behavior Analyst is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the behavior assessment, programming, and reporting process are carried out positively and professionally through effective supervision of Behavior Technicians. This role complies with all regulatory entities' applicable licensing rules and accreditation standards.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Master's degree in an area of behavioral science (psychology, education, etc.).

Dually licensed as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA).

Minimum of two years of work experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and attachment challenges is preferred.

Have an in-depth understanding of evidence-based practices to improve social skills and decrease interfering behaviors.

Must possess intermediate computer skills to learn and operate software programs.

Must demonstrate knowledge of and ability to train and implement Behavior Support Plans and Treatment Plan goals.

Supervisory experience preferred.

Ability to become an Approved Driver through Chileda and maintain the minimum amount of personal automobile insurance.

GENERAL HOURS OF DUTY: This is a full-time, salaried position averaging a minimum of 40 hours per week. The position works full-time Monday through Friday, with flexible hours - including nights, early morning hours, and weekends as needed. Travel is required for this position and averages about 10 hours per week. Travel occurs in La Crosse, Wisconsin and surrounding counties throughout the state.

REPORTS TO: Director of Shine Community Services

JOB DUTIES:

During the initial intake, thoroughly review the service agreement and program expectations with the family and social worker, complete a functional assessment interview, and schedule observation times and initial Treatment Plan meetings.

Attend and participate in meetings with county workers and parents for clients on your caseload.

Communicate clearly in understandable language (avoiding jargon) when interacting with the individual and the interdisciplinary team, demonstrating understanding, compassion, and collaboration when interacting with clients and interdisciplinary teams.

Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments and/or functional analysis of behaviors for clients.

Include client and parent/guardians in assessments and behavior plan development and implementation as they are able.

Develop a Functional Behavior Assessment based on indirect and direct assessments.

Develop Behavior Support Plans using evidence-based approaches after completing a functional behavior assessment.

Schedule initial intake meetings with new referrals.

Develop Daily Living Skills plans based on individualized and socially significant goals for the client.
