IT Enterprise Security Architect

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain the enterprise security architecture framework aligned with business and IT strategy.

Serve as a security thought leader across IT, working closely with enterprise architects, cloud engineers, infrastructure, application development, and operations teams.

Define and document security policies, reference architectures, and standards for technologies such as IAM, data protection, network security, and endpoint security.

Evaluate emerging technologies and vendors, provide recommendations, and assist with the design of secure solutions.

Conduct security architecture reviews for major projects and ensure alignment with enterprise security standards and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS).

Lead threat modeling, risk assessments, and architectural reviews for new systems and applications.

Define secure patterns and reusable controls for DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native architectures (e.g., Azure, AWS).

Monitor emerging security threats and vulnerabilities

Collaborate with the GRC team to ensure security controls are auditable and meet compliance requirements.

Provide strategic direction on security toolsets and integrations across the enterprise (e.g., SIEM, EDR, CASB, DLP, Zero Trust, SASE).

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (Master’s preferred)

8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, including 3+ years in a senior architecture or engineer role

Deep understanding of enterprise IT systems, cloud computing (AWS, Azure), IAM, encryption, and network security

Hands-on experience with security frameworks: NIST CSF, ISO 27001, TOGAF, SABSA, or similar

Strong communication skills and ability to influence technical and business stakeholders

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
