Job Title: Senior Manager of Finance

Reports to: Chief Financial Officer

Employment Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt (Starting Pay: $34-$39/hr)

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Manager of Finance is responsible for accounting functions that include oversight of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, bank/cash reconciliation, and maintenance of the general ledger for a public agency. This is a professional position requiring education or experience in accounting. The Senior Manager of Finance must be self-motivated and have the initiative and skills to work with minimal supervision. This position will supervise one full-time support position.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for oversight of accounts payable ensuring proper account coding so accounts are clean.

Accounts receivable and monitoring past due accounts.

Responsible for bi-weekly payroll processing, which includes importing timecard information, and payroll processing. Responds to employee inquiries as necessary.

Responsible for timely reconciliation and payment of other payroll-related items, which includes the retirement plan, and all other monies deducted from employee's pay (for voluntary insurances and flexible spending).

Manages all accounting transactions to confirm accuracy in Great Plains.

Prepare month end closing to include bank reconciliations, cashflow statements, AJEs for CFO approval, and balance sheet reconciliation.

Prepares monthly revenue report.

Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.

Supports CFO with production of financial reports; ensures all reported results comply with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).

Monitor employee leave balances and provides reports upon supervisor or employee request.

Handles all client/passenger returned checks.

Assists in gathering audit documentation.

Provide back-up for the Office Manager position as needed.

Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate's degree in accounting, business, finance, or relevant related field required, bachelor's preferred. At least two years of experience in accounting/bookkeeping, to include payroll, is required. Position requires excellent math, organizational, office, and computer skills (intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word). Knowledge of Great Plains Dynamics a plus. Position must demonstrate exceptional communication and attention to detail.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Employment is contingent upon successfully completing and passing a pre-employment drug screen. Employment is contingent on a clean driving record that allows employee to be covered by JAUNT's insurance. Continued employment is contingent upon adherence to JAUNT's Substance Abuse Policy, including being subject to drug and alcohol screening, as well as on maintaining a clean driving record.
