Automation Personnel Services is looking for a CNC Lathe Programmer & Operator for a leading precision manufacturing company based in Marietta. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with industry-leading Mazak equipment in a stable and growing company known for repeat business, advanced machinery, and long-term career opportunities. Pay Rate

$25.00 to $40.00 per hour, based on experience

Schedule and Hours

Mondays through Fridays, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Overtime may extend hours to 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Saturdays as required

CNC Lathe Programmer & Operator Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills to machine metal workpieces to specifications.

• Program directly at the machine using Mazatrol Conversational Programming.

• Retrieve preprogrammed instructions from machine memory or laptop as needed.

• Adjust speeds, feeds, and tooling as necessary to maintain quality standards.

• Read and interpret blueprints, job orders, and inspection instructions.

• Perform routine maintenance checks including lubrication and fluid levels.

• Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, dial indicators, and preset gauges to verify part accuracy.

• Replace worn tools and troubleshoot machining issues during production runs.

• Support training of new and existing employees in machine operation and best practices.

• Maintain compliance with company procedures and safety regulations.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and efficiency goals.

• Additional related job duties as assigned by management.

CNC Lathe Programmer & Operator Qualifications and Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in CNC lathe operations with a strong focus on Mazak equipment.

• Proficient in Mazatrol Conversational Programming at the machine.

• Strong ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.

• Hands-on experience setting up, adjusting, and running repeat production jobs.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Familiarity with basic statistical process control (SPC) methods is a plus.

• Willingness to work overtime and Saturdays as required.

• High attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality and safety.

• Drug screening and background check is required.
