Robotics and Automation Engineer
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Robotics and Automation Engineer for a company based in North Houston, Tx.
Pay Rate
$90,000/yr
Schedule and Hours
Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm
Saturdays are Mandatory (if needed)
Robotics and Automation Engineer Duties and Responsibilities
• Design and implement robotic and automation systems tailored to client applications using 3D modeling software.
• Program industrial robots (e.g., FANUC, Universal Robots, Omron, etc.) for applications such as palletizing, case packing, and CNC machine tending.
• Integrate PLCs, HMIs, and sensors into custom automation cells.
• Collaborate with sales, project management, and fabrication teams to ensure project alignment, accurate timelines, and successful delivery.
• Perform system testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and provide on-site commissioning to bring projects to full operation.
• Deliver technical support and hands-on training to clients during and post-installation to ensure long-term success.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including electrical schematics, control logic, and system manuals.
• Continuously research and evaluate emerging robotics and automation technologies to keep
• KRC solutions on the cutting edge.
Robotics and Automation Engineer Qualifications and Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Computer Engineering - or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 2+ years of experience in industrial automation or robotics integration, including system design, electrical work, and programming.
• Proficient in programming industrial robots and PLCs; experience with ladder logic, structured text, and motion control is a plus.
• Solid understanding of sensors, actuators, and industrial control systems.
• Familiarity with CAD software for both mechanical and electrical design (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, EPLAN).
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication and project management skills.
• Willingness to travel for on-site support, installation, and client interaction.
