Summary: Manages sales activities of organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.

Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals according to corporate goals and directive.

Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs.

Meets with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.

Up to 50% travel is required.

Develops and delivers sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives.

Liaison between sales department and other departments.

Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.

Ensures sales team is exceeding corporate sales goals, traveling as required, obtaining real opportunities and closing the deals.

Prepares weekly sales meetings and reports sales volume and forecast, potential sales pipeline, and areas of proposed client base expansion.

Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.

Recommends or approves budget, expenditures, and appropriations for all departmental needs.

Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales program.

Assigns sales territory to sales representatives.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises 3+ employees.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work.

Qualifications & Experience

Eight (8) or more years proven success in 3PL and Project Management business development leadership with new logos and existing customer growth

Proven success in leadership skills with a sales team

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strategic thinking skills-always looks for ways to improve processes and performance within the sales environment

Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
