The IT Project Manager will oversee end-to-end project lifecycle management for data pipeline development initiatives supporting the Internal Revenue Services. This role ensures alignment of project deliverables with IRS modernization goals, providing leadership in scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.

Responsibilities

- Lead planning, execution, and delivery of complex data projects under the program.

- Create integrated project schedules aligned with OneSDLC lifecycle.

- Provide oversight on budget, timelines, and resource allocation.

- Collaborate with technical leads to ensure security and compliance.

- Prepare and present regular status reports and briefings.

Requirements

- OneSDLC, PMP Frameworks

- Minimum 5 years managing federal data engineering projects.

- Experience with at least 3 data pipeline projects of similar scope.

- PMP or Agile certification strongly preferred

- Project Management Tools (MS Project, Jira, ServiceNow)

- Agile & Waterfall Methodologies

- Familiarity with AWS, Databricks, and cloud data platforms

- Leadership & Strategic Planning

- Communication & Stakeholder Management

- Risk Assessment and Mitigation

- Quality Assurance and Documentation
