Salary: $19.00-$21.00

ASAP Quality Inspector

Job Description:

The Quality Inspector reviews and performs various quality inspections of aluminum parts and painted assemblies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

Attention to detail is critical for this position.

Ability to follow written work instructions with minimal oversight.

Complete all assigned tasks in a timely manner.

Proficient with computers and able to learn shop floor software program.

Able to follow customer specification requirements.

Understand and follow documented internal procedures and work instructions.

Accurately document inspection data on required documents and logs.

Communicate inspection results effectively with co-workers and supervisors.

Maintain neat, legible handwriting.

Assists with upholding and improving department 5S standards. Maintain housekeeping standards.

Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.

Other duties as assigned.

This position will be for 2nd Shift which is typically 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Preferred experience of three to six months in quality related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Quality Inspection experience is a plus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

ATTENTION TO DETAIL

Ability to observe details in order to accomplish tasks thoroughly and accurately.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Can log on to a computer system, navigate in windows, perform simple tasks within applications and enter information into a database/software program.

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Must be able to pass respirator training and requirements.
