3rd Shift Quality Technician/Operator Assistant – Corrugator Department

Who We’re Looking For

Hood Container Corporation is seeking a dedicated Quality Technician/Operator Assistant to join our team at our Grand Rapids, MI facility. If you have a sharp eye for detail, a commitment to quality, and experience in a manufacturing environment, we want to hear from you!

What You’ll Do

Conduct basic troubleshooting and quality checks during production.

Verify all machine setups are accurate and aligned with customer specifications.

Maintain detailed and accurate records, especially caliper data for key customers.

Occasionally operate a secondary machine when needed.

Perform general clean-up and assist with machine start-ups.

Operate within hot, humid, and high-noise environments while maintaining safety and efficiency.

Support a high-volume production area by ensuring products meet quality standards.

Communicate effectively with team members and follow verbal and written instructions.

Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and a proactive approach to solving problems.

Uphold safety protocols and organizational goals at all times.

Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

What You Bring

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or GED required.

Minimum 6 consecutive months of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or warehouse setting.

Corrugator experience is a strong plus.

Skills & Qualifications:

Ability to stand for up to 10 hours and lift as needed.

Comfortable working 10-hour shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Strong attention to detail with solid documentation skills.

Team-oriented with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn.

Able to read a tape measure and complete basic measurements accurately.

Self-motivated, safety-conscious, and reliable.
