Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
This role involves both leadership and hands-on duties, requiring excellent communication skills to interact effectively with employees at all levels, from management to operators.
Utilize our CMMS (E Maintenance) system to efficiently plan and review work orders, understand downtime issues, and manage automated reports that track performance metrics.
Oversee the inventory of spare parts in the store room, ensuring availability to minimize downtime and setup new parts as needed.
Review and maintain all incoming work requests to ensure they are planned and completed in a timely manner.
Keep accurate records in our CMMS for all equipment, whether new, existing, or decommissioned.
Proactively manage KPIs including safety performance, equipment downtime, maintenance completion percentages, costs, and more.
Prepare detailed reports, analyze data, and provide recommendations to enhance operations and resolve maintenance-related issues.
Focus on maximizing uptime and reliability through effective planned maintenance strategies.
Champion safety standards and ensure all team members adhere to safety practices, identifying potential risks.
Implement 6S standards to continuously improve the workplace environment and efficiency.
Follow all safety policies and procedures diligently, including the Lockout/Tagout program.
Perform other related duties as assigned, including scheduling work assignments and machinery repairs.
Ensure all work orders in the CMMS are accurate and up to date.
Organize and clean maintenance areas to ensure a professional workspace.
Attend and participate in skills improvement initiatives for mechanics of all levels.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Technical School graduate preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Effective communication skills are essential, with proficiency in writing, reading, and using spreadsheets and documents.
Strong computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office, SAP, and CMMS tools.
Able to lead, motivate, and influence others with excellent interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical abilities to assess data and implement actions to improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
Functional knowledge of automated processes and machinery is preferred.
Exceptional organizational skills to balance multiple tasks and prepare detailed plans.
Experience in a production environment with at least 2 years in manufacturing is necessary.
Solid mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills for equipment repair.
Basic literacy and numeracy proficiency, including the ability to communicate in English.
Capability to understand and apply safety precautions when using tools and machinery.
