About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Dietary Cook to join our team at St. John's. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals that meet the dietary needs of our residents in a Long-Term Care community. Your main goal will be to ensure that the meals are of high quality and meet the dietary requirements of our residents. You will work closely with our dietician to ensure that the meals are nutritious and delicious.
Job Summary:
Prepare a wide range of foods, provide customer service and oversee the activities of the kitchen
Comply with the Minnesota of Department of Health re quirements.
Keep kitchen neat and orderly. Operate kitchen equip ment safely.
Additional responsibilities which safely maintains the daily operations of the kitchen
Qualifications:
Food Manager Certificate or be able to obtain within six months of hire
Strong knowledge of cooking and baking skills
Self-motivated; able to prioritize and organize work ef fectively and efficiently
Strong communication skills, ability to multi-task effectively
Basic computer knowledge with emphasis on Microsoft Word
