The team is searching for a highly motivated Facilities Technician with experience maintaining facilities, systems and equipment.
The Facilities Technician will be responsible for maintaining multiple buildings and supporting the successful growth of the organization.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on individual, works independently with little oversight, has experience working in a fast-paced dynamic environment and supports the needs of multiple stakeholders with projects ranging from standard maintenance to large scale build-outs.
This is an onsite position based out of Redwood City,CA.
What You'll Do:
Manage buildings with pride ensuring function, cleanliness, and organization
Perform daily rounds and readings of critical systems and equipment
Work with management to achieve maximum utilization of assigned facilities space
Create and maintain vendor relationships to support building needs
Respond to employee requests in a timely manner
Performs routine maintenance and building repairs
Coordinate system repairs and monitor system performance
Maintain adequate parts inventory and order items as necessary
Maintain facilities compliance with local, county, state, and federal regulations
Provides troubleshooting support as needed
Provides overall directions and sets priorities for the site improvement projects and activities
Plans and coordinates major maintenance activities, including scheduled plant shutdowns
Works closely with all departments and key stakeholders across both research and clinical GMP environments
Maintain a safe working environment working directly with EHS and Synthego Safety Committee
Will be responsible for the effective 24/7 uninterrupted support of facilities operational activities and security
About You:
6+ years of experience working in a regulated environment
High school diploma
Prior experience working in a laboratory environment
Familiar with process gases, vacuum, and compressed air
Experience working with hand and power tools
Experience working with outside contractors and service providers
Experience in a clinical GMP environment with an understanding of regulatory best practices
Knowledge of EH&S principles and act as a point person as part of our safety team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Strong facility-related (e.g. mechanical, electrical) assessment and troubleshooting skills
Experience providing efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers
Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues
Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations using analytical and quantitative skills
Able to read and understand complex electrical, mechanical and automation systems
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
