Roles and Responsibilities
The PSR will consistently demonstrate exemplary customer service when assisting patients and guests personally and professionally. Responsible for welcoming patients, performing service driven check-in/check-out procedures maintaining highest attention to patient privacy. The PSR will make sure that the health care setting they are working in is in accordance with regulatory standards and practices
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Greet patients and guests upon arrival
Answers phone calls and emails and deliver messages as needed
Confirms and updates patient identification, demographic and insurance information
Obtains patient consents/referrals/authorizations
Schedules appointments as necessary and maintains an optimal schedule by managing cancellations, changes or delays to appointment status
Verify insurance coverage and collect payments
Make financial arrangements and collect co-payments
Keeps waiting area clean and comfortable
Maintains an organized and clutter free work area
Present treatment plan options
Track case acceptance and coordinate follow ups
Run reports and track other key performance indicators
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications and Skills
H.S. Diploma or Equivalent
Exceptional customer service skills and phone etiquette, including the ability to use independent thinking, sound judgment and creativity when resolving patient issues
Strong computer skills
Highly organized with excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
Willing to serve the Practice with a flexible schedule
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
Associate's degree
Previous experience in a dental/healthcare setting
Working knowledge of medical terminology
Physical Demands
Ability to sit, stand or walk for extended periods
Ability to wear a facemask for long durations
Work Environment
Work will be completed at a dental practiceRequirements:
