Senior Automation Programmer
Seeking a hardworking and forward-thinking, Senior Automation Programmer to join our team. Working together for a sustainable future we assist clients in various industries, including water, wastewater, food and beverage, transportation, private utilities, municipal, industrial, and chemical.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in programming of PLC control and PC based SCADA systems
A Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Engineering or related technology is preferred
Proficiency with multiple manufacturers automation hardware and software, including but not limited to:
Allen Bradley hardware and software
Schneider: Unity Pro, Vijeo Designer, ProWorx32, Telepace Studio, ClearSCADA Host
Wonderware InTouch, System Platform, Historian
GE hardware and software
Experience with Hard-wired, Wireless, Radio Networks, and Cellular Networking
Knowledge of VPNs and cyber security is a plus
General knowledge of water and wastewater systems
The ability to effectively assess urgent situations and solve problems methodically
Competence in self-scheduling and regulating workload priorities for oneself and others
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills
Availability for occasional after hour client support, as well as overnight trave
Responsibilities:
Program and integrate complex control systems
Take a leadership role in projects from concept through operational readiness
Work effectively with multi-disciplinary teams to develop solutions for clients
Conduct hands-on troubleshooting of field control systems
Provide technical support in resolving equipment and process issues when necessary
Serve as a mentor to less experienced Programmers, and share knowledge for the benefit of others
Work closely with clients to identify and create new business opportunities
Physical Requirements:
Safely and effectively lift, carry, and move objects of varying weights.
Bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, climbing, balancing, standing, and walking, for extended periods and maintain the necessary physical dexterity and coordination.
Work in various environmental conditions, which may include exposure to varying temperatures, weather, and noise levels.
