Position: MRI Technologist

Shift: Full Time 8-Hour Shifts 5 days a week No Weekends, Holidays or On Call required***

Part Time 8-hour Shifts 1-2 days a week ***No Weekends, Holidays or On Call required***

PRN No Weekends, Holidays or On Call required***

Licensure/Req: BLS/CPR certification (w/ 30 days), Associate’s degree or equivalent from a 2 year college or technical school (preferred), MRTBE ARRT licensure, 1-2 years related experience (preferred), I.V. Skills (preferred)

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

-The MRI Technologist operates the Magnetic Resonance operation at Premier Mountain Imaging Center

-Knowledge of magnetic resonance imaging procedures and technology

-Operates a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies

-Selects appropriate imaging techniques, and operates console and peripheral hardware; enters and monitors patient data

-Obtains images, produces records and backups from disk to storage media, and transfers from desk to PACS stations

-Maintains accurate study documentation

- Performs a variety of tasks, some degree of creativity and maneuverability is required in order to do what is best for the patients and department

-Demonstrates competency in the performance of job-related skills appropriate to his/her customer populations and departmental services while providing excellent customer service

-Utilizes and operates equipment and mechanical devices which provide for a functional, effective, and safe environment

-Adheres to policies, procedures, guidelines relative to departmental operations

Physical Demands: This position may require duties including lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds, sitting for prolonged periods of time, with frequent standing and walking.
