Job Title: Sr IT Project Manager

Location: Park Avenue, NY, 10017

Duration: 6+ Months Contract with possibility of extension depends on the performance and the manager

Pay rate: $70 to $75 /hr on W2

Job Summary:

The IT Project Manager is responsible for the successful organization, tracking, and delivery of IT-related projects. This includes managing complex to enterprise-wide initiatives, ensuring adherence to project management best practices. The Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, communication, and oversight of project performance, aligning with strategic goals and ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management

Lead the planning and implementation of project plans using standardized project management methodologies.

Define project scope, goals, deliverables, tasks, and resource needs.

Assign and direct work to project team members and external contractors.

Acquire necessary project resources, including staff and vendors.

Monitor team engagement and resolve conflicts or issues throughout the project lifecycle.

Conduct regular meetings with project teams, stakeholders, executive committees, and vendors.

Evaluate project outcomes post-implementation and communicate key findings and improvements.

Project Documentation

Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation including charters, timelines, and status reports.

Track milestones and deliverables, proactively resolving issues or roadblocks.

Document workflows, project requirements, policy/procedure gaps, and critical decisions.

Develop and monitor project budgets, addressing and resolving budgetary variances.

Provide detailed reports to leadership and executive stakeholders.

Project Communications

Maintain consistent and transparent communication regarding project status.

Develop and execute multi-stage communication plans for stakeholders.

Facilitate pilot program deployment and full-scale rollouts, providing post-implementation support.

Change Management

Support structured change management processes including scope, budget, and design changes.

Develop change strategies, identify risks, and coordinate stakeholder engagement to ensure adoption.

Assist with internal and client-facing transformation initiatives across departments.

Required Skills & Experience:

7 to 10 years of project management experience.

Strong background in strategic planning, risk mitigation, and structured change management.

Technical expertise across IT infrastructure including:

Network and security

Server and desktop technologies

Patient engagement systems (RTLS, digital signage, TVR, etc.)

Nurse call systems and other clinical IT platforms

Proficient in project management tools and techniques.

Experience managing both internal and external resources and vendors.

Education:

Required: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field

OR

Equivalent of 6 to 8 years of direct job-related experience in lieu of a degree.
