HVAC/R Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated HVAC/R Facilities Maintenance Technician Manager to join our team in the Greater Oklahoma City and Tulsa areas. This dynamic role requires a master-level HVAC/R technician with a valid license, blending hands-on technical work with leadership and scheduling responsibilities. Using our Zoho FSM mobile application, you’ll help deliver high-quality service, manage field technicians, and ensure client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Supervision & Scheduling

Coordinate and manage technician schedules using Zoho FSM for site visits, job completion, and QC inspections

Finalize and distribute the next day’s schedule by 5:00 PM daily via Zoho FSM

Monitor daily production reports in Zoho FSM to track progress and resolve critical issues

Submit monthly reports via Zoho Expense (gas logs, maintenance logs, expense reports)

Field Work & Technical Expertise

Diagnose and repair HVAC systems (e.g., split systems, rooftop units, chillers)

Maintain refrigeration units (e.g., walk-in coolers and freezers)

Troubleshoot advanced control systems and thermostats

Perform brazing, soldering, refrigerant handling, retrofits, and system upgrades

Ensure compliance with EPA refrigerant handling regulations

Independently complete complex service tasks and guide field teams

Maintain high productivity (5+ jobs or $3,000 in value/week avg.)

Limit QC issues to no more than 2 per quarter

Conduct preventive maintenance inspections

Complete 3 days of training, including 1 day of safety training

Quality Control & Team Support

Monitor technician performance via Zoho FSM to ensure consistency and quality

Provide hands-on support for advanced HVAC/R issues

Continuously develop technical expertise and stay updated with industry advancements

Quoting & Material Management

Visit sites to assess and quote complex HVAC/R projects

Submit detailed proposals through Zoho FSM for approval

Source and price materials such as refrigerants, compressors, filters

Approve material purchases between $50–$200 as necessary

General Responsibilities

Document all work orders and QC reports in Zoho FSM

Maintain professional communication with dispatch teams and clients

Adhere to OSHA and EPA safety protocols

Keep work areas clean and organized

Deliver excellent customer service and represent the company professionally

Required Qualifications

Master-level HVAC/R technician with 5+ years of hands-on experience

Valid Oklahoma Mechanical Contractor License (or equivalent)

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Reliable vehicle (model year 2018 or newer; monthly stipend provided)

EPA Universal Certification (Type I, II, III)

Proficiency with Zoho FSM or similar work order systems

Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving abilities

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications

Commercial HVAC/R experience

Advanced knowledge of HVAC controls, VRF systems, or refrigeration diagnostics

Additional trade certifications (e.g., OSHA 10/30, NATE, HVAC Excellence)

Proficiency with Google Workspace and Zoho tools
