Auto Parts Counter Person

Reporting to the owner, the Counter Parts Person will be first person will be the first point of contact for customers seeking automotive parts and accessories. You will engage with a wide range of clientele, including professional mechanics, DIY enthusiasts, and vehicle owners, providing them with expert advice and support. Beyond sales and customer service, this position entails precise inventory management, sourcing uncommon parts, and sometimes coordinating with manufacturers and suppliers.
Essential Responsibilities
Greet customers, provide product information, advice, and assist each customer with their individual needs.
Handle the ordering, receiving and stocking, and parts inventory for all items.
Process paperwork for parts and invoices.
Take orders, provide quotes and process payments.
Maintain inventory records, stock shelves and restock as needed.
Provide support for other departments within the store.
Keep work area clean and organized
Auto Parts Counter Person Skills
Previous experience within the automobile industry helpful.
Knowledge of automotive parts and systems.
Maintain parts inventory for new and replaced parts
Handle the ordering, receiving, and stocking inventory
Ability to operate a computer and point-of-sale system.
Ability to handle cash and credit card transactions.
