Journeyman Plumber

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and licensed Journeyman Plumber to join our plumbing team. As a Journeyman Plumber, you will be responsible for performing skilled plumbing work, including installing, repairing, and maintaining various plumbing systems for residential and commercial projects for custom homes, renovations, and service.

Job Duties / Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems and fixtures, including water supply lines, drainage systems, and gas lines.

Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and plumbing codes to determine layout and installation procedures.

Assemble and install pipes, valves, fittings, and fixtures using various tools and equipment.

Test plumbing systems for leaks and proper functionality.

Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with plumbing systems and recommend appropriate solutions.

Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as electricians and HVAC technicians, to complete projects efficiently.

Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to customer inquiries and resolving issues effectively.

Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety regulations.

Estimate the cost of materials, labor, and time required for plumbing projects.

Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program and licensed as a Journeyman Plumber.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in residential plumbing and light commercial.

Extensive knowledge of local plumbing codes and safety regulations.

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Proficient in the use of various plumbing tools and equipment.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.

Ability to work in confined spaces and lift heavy materials.Company Description
