Dyno Systems Engineer – Electrical (Automotive Test Systems)
DIRECT HIRE - Salary Range: $104,000.00 to $131,000.00 Annually
Join a pioneering team driving automotive innovation, with a focus on electrical engineering, automation systems, and control systems integration. This position plays a critical role in delivering cutting-edge dyno test equipment, supporting engine, driveline, brake, and emissions testing for major players in the automotive industry.
Key Responsibilities
Design advanced electrical systems and schematics for automated test equipment, integrating PLC systems, instrumentation, hydraulic/pneumatic controls, and data acquisition systems.
Lead conceptual design, product development, and verification/validation testing based on specific testing requirements.
Ensure all systems comply with industry standards including NEC, UL, IEC, IEEE, NFPA, and OSHA.
Develop and review one-line diagrams, control schematics, and panel layouts, maintaining alignment with global engineering standards.
Drive design standardization and maintain alignment with global product architecture to ensure consistency and quality across projects.
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (required).
Proven experience with AutoCAD Electrical for design and documentation.
Strong understanding of adjustable speed drive systems, including component sizing and compatibility within power distribution systems.
Skilled in power systems analysis, including per unit analysis, short circuit current analysis, power quality, and arc flash calculations.
Proficiency in controls theory and PLC programming, especially with Siemens S7.
Experience with E-Plan and SAP GEO (ERP systems) is a plus.
