We are currently looking for a bright engineer who loves coding and working with data. Whether our clients need to store legacy programs or transform data into a usable platform, primeFORCE has a solution. Please note this position is a hybrid position with scheduled days in our office in Duluth, GA.
Position Summary:
The Data Engineer designs, builds, and maintains the data infrastructure primeFORCE uses to collect, store and process data. Their focus is ensuring the data is accessible, reliable, scalable, and usable. The work includes developing data pipelines, building databases and data warehouses, and implementing data quality checks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Design and implement data systems, including databases and data warehouses.
• Build and maintains pipeline for data collection, transformation, and storage.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability through various data validation and cleaning processes.
• Work with team members to understand data requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
• Optimize data processes for efficiency and scalability.
• Implement data security measures and ensures compliance with relevant regulations.
• Document technical designs, workflows, and best practices.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations to enhance reliability.
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills and abilities)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that would provide the required abilities.
• Must have a thorough understanding of data warehouse design and architecture.
• Must be able to design and implement data models.
• Must be able to understand and implement ETL processes.
• Proficient using Python, SQL, Java, Scala and other relevant languages.
• Proficient using AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Proficient using Relational databases (MySQL), NoSQL databases, and data warehouses, including Snowflake.
