What You Will Do:
The Final Quality Inspector, reporting to the Shift Supervisor, is responsible for following all policies and procedures associated with the various parts and equipment for which they will be trained and certified to operate. Additionally, operators load and unload parts to meet production demands, inspect parts using various precision measuring tools, and accept or reject parts based on their quality. They also communicate any changes, both verbally and in writing.
Essential Tasks:
Analyze and interpret Op sheets, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and travelers to produce products that meet or exceed customer specifications
Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to customer specifications visually and using hard gauge precision measuring tools such as borescopes, rulers, calipers, gauges, micrometers
Interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances to complete inspection as required
Performs final inspection on parts as required
Verifies the proper completion of paperwork
Check the status of non-conformances and process them accordingly
Documents actions by updating control charts, travelers, and reporting labor in the ERP system
Perform under AS9100 quality standards and NADCAP accreditation
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by performing daily housekeeping duties.
Follow all Hi-Tek policies and procedures, including the use of proper PPE
Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishment.
Effective communication and people skills to maintain a working relationship with Quality, Engineering, and Management
Dependability, integrity, cooperation, and taking the initiative for work responsibilities and challenges are critical

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED required
Must meet the ITAR definition of §120.15 U.S. person
2+ years of prior experience with final inspections of aerospace/gas turbine components required
Experience working in a Quality System certified to ISO9001, AS9100, or Nadcap a plus
Experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment, aerospace industry preferred

Physical Demand Levels:
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color perception, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 20/20 vision (natural or corrected) required, with the ability to pass the annual vision test as required
Lift, push, and/or pull up to thirty-five pounds regularly
Operate overhead crane or other lifting equipment when necessary
Stand at least 50% of the scheduled shift
Walking or sitting as needed to perform job duties as assigned
Routinely perform reaching, twisting, bending, and grasping to move and set tools, equipment, and materials
