We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Process Engineer to join our Engineering team. This is a pivotal role responsible for optimizing production processes, enhancing operational efficiency, and spearheading manufacturing innovation initiatives. An established facility in Newton, NC and a high-energy startup operation in Statesville, NC. This role will be for our Statesville location.

What You'll Do
Optimize production processes for safety, quality, cost, and throughput within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Develop and implement standardized work instructions, SOPs, and best practices to ensure consistent and efficient plant operations.
Lead root cause investigations for production issues, equipment failures, and quality concerns-implementing robust corrective actions.
Drive continuous improvement (CI) initiatives on the shop floor, including layout redesign, workflow optimization, and waste reduction (5S, Kaizen, DFLT).
Support equipment selection, installation, and commissioning for new production lines or process upgrades.
Collaborate daily with operators, supervisors, and maintenance teams to identify process bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
Provide hands-on engineering support to resolve real-time production challenges, including troubleshooting equipment, tooling, or process variations.
Utilize CAD tools to develop production line layouts and tooling designs that enhance manufacturability and reduce setup/changeover times.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as yield, cycle time, downtime, and scrap, using them to inform actionable improvements.
Train plant personnel on new processes and equipment, ensuring safe and effective adoption across all shifts.
What We're Looking For:
Collage diploma or bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline
3-5 years of experience in an OEM or manufacturing environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio)
Strong skills in CAD platforms such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, UG
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
Proven ability to lead projects independently and within teams
Must have experience with DFLT
