The Data Pipeline Developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining data pipelines that support the IRS data platform. This role enables real-time and batch ingestion, transformation, and loading of data to support analytics and reporting needs.

Responsibilities

- Create and maintain scalable, secure data pipelines for data platform domains.

- Migrate legacy data into modern cloud-based storage (e.g., Databricks).

- Implement semantic layers and data access services.

- Perform unit, system, and performance testing on pipeline components.

- Resolve issues and support operational maintenance post-deployment.

Qualifications

- Experience in 2+ projects involving Databricks-based pipelines.

- Strong understanding of medallion architecture and cloud environments.

- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

- ETL Tools: Databricks, Informatica, Enterprise File Transfer Utility

- Databases: AWS RDS, Redshift, PostgreSQL, MongoDB

- Programming: SQL, Python, Spark

- BI Tools: Tableau, PowerBI, Business Objects

- Data Transformation & Integration

- Performance Optimization

- Security-Aware Development

- Troubleshooting & Debugging
