EXPERIENCED IMMIGRATION PARALEGAL (BILINGUAL)
The Immigration Law Office of Moises L. Barraza, LLC is a family-run practice dedicated to providing high quality, trustworthy immigration services to individuals and families. We are looking to add another experienced immigration paralegal to our team to assist with the ever-growing need for immigration services. This position is specifically designed for a competent individual who is looking for a long-term career with growth potential within our office.

Position Overview:
Duties of Experienced Immigration Paralegal at the Immigration Law Office of Moises L. Barraza, LLC will include but are not limited to the following:
Providing direct assistance to Attorney(s) specifically in Family-Based, Humanitarian, and/or EOIR-related cases;
Managing clients, documents, forms, and compiling applications for assigned case types;
Meeting with clients to prepare all applications for assigned case types, making sure forms are filled correctly, without errors, reviewed by the Attorney, and submitted on time to meet any and all deadlines;
Managing incoming documents: communicating with clients to ensure that clients submit all requested documents on time and according to guidelines;
Answering client questions about case status or other issues that do not require direct Attorney attention;
Managing time to be as efficient as possible for the benefit of the clients case, focusing on tasks that need to be handled in person, and delegating tasks that can be handled by remote assistants, such as phone calls to fill out forms or gather information;
Ethically using all technological resources available, including but not limited to legal research tools, software, and artificial intelligence, for the benefit of EOIR clients as directed by the attorney;
Personal initiative is expected. Ideas to improve functionality and efficiency are welcome.Qualifications:
Dedication to the Law Offices mission to give immigrants the best chance of success.
Bilingual in Spanish and English required.
Bachelors degree required.
Paralegal certificate preferred.
At least three years but preferably five years experience working in an immigration law firm.
Capable and independent in the following abilities: legal research, legal screening, drafting legal arguments, and compiling immigration cases.
Experience in case management softwares.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Honest, self-motivated, reliable, and flexible.
Skilled in problem solving, organization, and attention to detail.
Poised and relaxed under stress, ability to work well with deadlines and multitasking.
Capable working independently but cohesively as part of a small office team.
Skilled in document, case, file, and task management.
Knowledge of basic computer functions and features is required.
Independent in handling several immigration case types independently, such as I-485, I-589, U Visa, etc.Salary and Hours:
Salary and benefits package will be offered within a range of $55,000-$75,000, commensurate with skill, ability, and experience. Normal office hours are Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm, with a 30 minute lunch break. Our Firm strongly believes in providing work-life balance, so a full time work week is considered 40 hours, and no evening or weekend hours are expected.
