Job Title: Full Stack Java Developer

Location: Springfield, MA - Hybrid

Contract Duration: 6 Months

Type: W2 Contract

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Java Developer for a 6-month engagement with a dynamic and collaborative technology team. The ideal candidate will be self-driven, skilled in full stack development, and comfortable contributing in an environment that embraces integrated code reviews, continuous integration, and agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain robust Java applications using Spring Boot

Contribute to front-end development with JavaScript, preferably TypeScript and React

Write and maintain unit tests using JUnit; ensure code quality through code coverage reporting

Utilize the latest JDK versions (e.g., JDK 17 and 21)

Manage project dependencies and builds using Maven

Work with relational databases, including PostgreSQL and Oracle

Collaborate in an Agile environment using JIRA for task tracking and sprint planning

Participate in team discussions, share ideas, and provide constructive feedback during code reviews

Maintain version control through Git and repository management

Required Skills & Experience

Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot

Experience with JUnit and code coverage tools

Strong understanding of Maven for dependency management

Front-end development experience, ideally with React and TypeScript

Solid CSS skills (Preferred)

Familiarity with Playwright for end-to-end testing

Experience using JIRA and Git in a collaborative development setting

Preferred Experience

Prior experience with Infor ERP systems (Lawson, FSM, and/or EPM)

Industry experience in the electric or energy sector

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelorâ s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Demonstrated ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines
