Job Duties/Description:

Regions Bank seeks a Software Engineer in Birmingham, AL to serve as a member of the technology enterprise notification delivery team that is responsible for overseeing application development, modification, and maintenance of applications for the company. Obtains information on application design and functionality to propose solutions to end users/business groups. Responds to client inquiries concerning software operation and troubleshoots system software and operator complications. Monitors routine and critical processes and workflows to proactively identify problem trends. Assists with application implementations and configuration. Performs root cause analysis and provides technical solutions to production related application errors. Performs application testing in various environments. Deploys service releases, patches, requests and customizations. Designs and deploys new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software and operation systems. Measures effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems. Develops and implements strategies to improve systems. Monitors and tests system performance.

Minimum Requirements:

This position requires a Bachelors degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field and seven (7) years of experience in a related computer occupation. This position also requires demonstrated knowledge and experience with the following: building Web applications with Rest APIs integration of Micro services in .NET Core/framework technologies; full stack developer; at least two Integrated Development Environments and languages (such as C#, .NET core, Java scripting, Objective-C, Visual Studio or Eclipse); developing against common API technologies including REST and SOAP; ASP.NET WebAPI and .Net Core; design patterns (MVVM) and dependency injection; SQL and entity framework; Rest API life cycle; Kafka streaming services; analyzing system and SQL bottleneck/troubleshooting; containerized application development and knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift; production support and working in team environment with multiple interfaces; CI / CD; Agile methodologies; Test Driven Development (TDD); current trends in the common platform omnichannel architecture and technology; and developing applications with high quality, performance, maintainability/supportability and scalability.
