Driving Operational Excellence: Supporting High Voltage Innovation with Precision and Care!
MEPPI’s High Voltage Switchgear Division (HVSD) is seeking a reliable and detail-driven Shipper – 2nd Shift to support essential material handling and logistics operations. This role performs critical duties in receiving, shipping, and stocking inventory to keep production on schedule and ensure accurate inventory records. From unloading trucks to preparing outgoing shipments, your accuracy and efficiency will help power HVSD’s high-quality manufacturing process.
What You’ll Do:
Use the business system to process all purchase order-related data, locate inventory, verify on-hand quantities, and perform inventory movement transactions.
Perform shipping and receiving functions in the system, including scanning packing slips and distributing documentation to required personnel.
Print and attach part number labels to incoming parts to ensure proper identification.
Review Customer Order Pick Lists and shipping paperwork for errors; inform production of any discrepancies and obtain required sign-offs.
Affix proper documentation to all outgoing shipments.
Coordinate and direct truck drivers during material loading and unloading activities.
Receive incoming materials, verify against packing lists, uncrate as necessary, and move materials to designated storage locations.
Load gas circuit breakers and associated components, including boxed items for disassembled shipments.
Maintain organized storage areas for all parts related to gas circuit breaker shipments.
Check and count deliveries, ensuring accuracy against supplier packing lists.
Investigate and resolve purchase order discrepancies by working with buyers.
Report any damaged parts or packaging to Quality Control, the buyer, and supervisor immediately.
Prepare and package auxiliary switches for pick-up by panel suppliers.
Comply with C-TPAT, JSOX, and MSDS handling procedures.
Record all inventory transactions accurately using paper forms or the Business System.
Support Material Center Supervisors and contribute to a positive, professional manufacturing environment.
What You Bring:
High School diploma or GED, plus at least two years of warehousing experience—or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required safety and operations training for machinery such as forklifts and cranes.
Intermediate computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and experience with ERP/MRP business systems.
