**FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT**

The Automotive Technology Program of The Engineering, Physics & Technology Department of Bronx Community College/CUNY seeks experienced Lecturer with CCE to teach one or more of the following subject areas: Introduction.to Automotive Technology, Engine Repair, Electrical Systems, Brake Systems, Steering and Suspension, Systems, Heating and Air Conditioning, Automatic Transmission and Transaxle, Manual Drive Train and Axle, Engine Performance, Hybrid and Electric Vehicles, Diesel Engines, and Air Brake and Suspension. The assignments will be for Fall 2025 beginning on August 26th, 2025. Day, Evening, Saturday, and Sunday teaching may be required.

Performs teaching and related faculty functions in area(s) of expertise.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in automotive management or related area

Minimum of 5 years of automotive service experience

Minimum of 1 year teaching experience in the automotive field

New York State Inspectors License

Have documented Electric Vehicle service and safety training

Master Automotive Service Excellence certification within 6 months of employment

Preferred Qualifications:

A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, especially at the college level, is highly desirable.

Master Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certified

**COMPENSATION**

Salary range: $52,072 to $92,878. Salary commensurate with education and experience.

CUNY is in the process of implementing salary schedule increases. Once implemented, salaries of eligible employee will be adjusted by 6.09% with additional increases of 3.25% effective 9/1/2025 and 3.5% effective 9/1/2026, in accordance with the terms of the PSC-CUNY collective bargaining agreement.
