Key Duties/Responsibilities:

Direct and manage all production operations for the 2nd shift to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are met

Lead, coach, and develop production team members, including supervisors, team leads, and operators

Coordinate shift start-up and end-of-shift handoff communications with 1st and 3rd shift management to ensure production continuity

Monitor workflow and production metrics daily to drive operational excellence

Uphold safety policies and procedures while actively participating in Prepac's safety culture

Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing tools

Ensure accurate documentation of production results, inventory usage, and labor hours

Partner with Maintenance and Quality departments to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues

Address performance and attendance concerns in partnership with Human Resources

Support and communicate company goals and priorities, fostering a culture of accountability and engagement

Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training of new production employees

Conduct performance evaluations and contribute to succession planning for high-potential team members

Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Bachelor's degree in operations management, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent work experience accepted or 10+ leading a manufacturing shift

5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with 2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role

Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams in a fast-paced production setting

Strong understanding of production processes, safety regulations, and quality systems

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Proficiency in ERP and production reporting systems

Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies a plus

Ability to interpret data, manage priorities, and make sound decisions under pressure

Calm and professional demeanor with the ability to manage conflict and foster collaboration

Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred
