MLOps Engineer - INTL - India OR Brazil OR EU

We are seeking a seasoned MLOps Lead to help manage and drive the operations and development lifecycle of machine learning products across multiple domains. This role requires deep technical expertise, operational oversight, and thought leadership in MLOps practices, ML/DS lifecycle management, and Agile methodologies. You will be instrumental in ensuring scalable, secure, and maintainable ML solutions from infrastructure to deployment, with a strong focus on Azure-based platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and co-manage ML operations across multiple products, including ML models, data pipelines, and software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Oversee detailed review and approval of pull requests, CI/CD pipelines, and production readiness for ML workflows.

Own and manage sustainment activities including incident resolution, monitoring, and long-term product maintenance.

Act as a thought leader and architect for improving MLOps practices across all stages: infrastructure setup, model development, deployment, monitoring, and scaling.

Collaborate closely with Data Science leads to align ML solutions with business and technical goals.

Drive enhancements in CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation using Azure DevOps, YAML pipelines, and Kubernetes.

Lead team workload planning via Agile user stories, and ideally, support sprint/PI planning and potentially serve as Scrum Master.

Required Skills & Experience

- 5-7 years experience leading or co-managing ML operations, models, workflows and lifecycle phases

- In-depth experience of data and software development life cycle and pipelines

- Advanced hands on experience with Python, SQL, PySpark

- Experience with Azure stack Databricks, DevOps, MLFlow, ADF, Kubernetes(AKS), Azure Machine Learning (AMLS)

- Comfortable leading detailed reviews and approvals of pull requests and pipelines

- Thought leader for set up & improvements in every life cycle phase of ML development from infrastructure to code walk through to sustain/maintenance

- Experience working across multiple tech teams including data analysts, engineers, scientists as well as platform team

- Knowledge of ML methods and models, ML libraries, etc. to be able to discuss with Data Science leads

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience managing scrum teams workload via user stories and leading team during PI and sprint planning

- Experience managing team deliverables in Agile environments using tools like Azure Boards
