Job Description:

The Role: Specialist, Purchasing

The Purchasing Specialist will be responsible on purchase order management, fulfillment and delivery of raw materials to meet Entegris manufacturing plants production. This role will manage supplier performance, purchase price variance, raw material on time availability to meet the dynamic demand of manufacturing sites in Entegris.

What You’ll Do:

Create and process standard purchase orders (PO), outline agreements in SAP to approved vendors (under Global AVL) to optimize inventory.

Manage supplier order and delivery confirmations and update order details into SAP on a timely manner.

Communicate any supply gaps back to operations in line with escalation path.

Update schedule and expedite materials to meet the latest production plan.

Resolve shipment/warehouse and customs related issues with logistics.

Follow up with Freight forwarders/Couriers to meet PO delivery ETD/ETA.

Track supplier performance to commit dates/contracted lead-times and cost.

Initiate/conduct negotiation with suppliers on tactical execution to improve delivery performance etc. to meet factory demand.

Establish and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.

Manage Supplier quality issues causing block stock and work with QA, MQE, CM for further action/ resolution with supplier including RMA/RTV.

Manage invoice exceptions (VIM) and resolve issues with suppliers and finance.

Maintain Material Master/ Purchasing Info Record in SAP to optimize purchasing methods or support NPI.

Enhanced Responsibilities with Digital Enablement Team Skills:

Strategic Direction and Program Management: Setting program direction, monitoring progress and enabling transformation program strategy and change

Stakeholder Engagement and Risk Management: Identifying stakeholders who influence the success of the program, developing a plan to achieve stakeholder buy-in and support, tracking and mitigating key risks impacting the program

Change Management and Value Realization: Driving adoption and acceleration of the transformation effort

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborating with various departments, including IT/Digital Teams

Accountability:

Effective order management cover execution of PO holds/ release/ expedite requests, PO changes and PO unviewed by supplier issues, include raw material return management

Implement MRP with full engagement, systematic working approach with Sr Purchasing Specialist to drive optimum raw materials positioning, orchestrate efficient purchase orders mechanism

Drive delivery on open orders, proactive & predictive to identify risks, ensure on time shipment, prioritize critical orders based on inventory status & inputs from Sr Purchasing Specialist, resolve shipment/ warehouse and custom related issues

Enforcement on supplier performance tracking, focus on time delivery include instilling proactiveness to improve supplier delivery performance and reduce lead time

What We Seek:

A degree holder in Business Admin/ Management. Professional certifications offer by APIC (CPIM – Certified in Production & Inventory Management, CSCP – Certified Supply Chain Professional) & ISM (C.P.S.M – Certified Professional in Supply Management) a plus but not required.

Purchasing field with 2 years direct procurement buyer related experience.

Experience in SAP system

Knowledge in purchasing & materials planning include procurement process & function linked to Supply Chain

Effective order replenishment as well as supplier management

Flexibility to adapt to changing demands and schedules, including needs of the organization.

Detail oriented (check pricing, dates etc.) with relentless ability to follow up to issue resolution.
