Systems Engineer Defense Sensor Integration

We’re hiring a Systems Engineer to help develop advanced sensor and detection systems that enhance battlefield safety and situational awareness. In this role, you’ll lead system design, integration, and testing efforts for CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear) detection equipment installed on DoD reconnaissance vehicles.

Work alongside talented engineers across mechanical, electrical, and software disciplines — and take products from concept to delivery that meet strict military and commercial standards.

What You’ll Do

Lead system design and integration projects for defense detection systems.

Translate customer requirements into clear technical specs.

Guide cross-functional teams through design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR).

Create and manage system specs, test plans, and compliance matrices.

Lead system integration, testing, and troubleshooting.

Support proposals, customer presentations, and new tech investigations.

What You’ll Bring

5+ years as a Systems Engineer working on complex products.

Degree in Engineering (Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, or related).

Experience with DoD projects and multi-disciplinary teams.

Comfortable reading schematics, mechanical models, and software architecture.

Strong communicator and collaborator.

Bonus Points For:

Defense, aerospace, or sensor system experience.

Hands-on testing & qualification background.

Integration experience with drones or unmanned vehicles.

Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible under export control laws.
