The Role

Join Our Team as a Layout Supervisor!

In this role, you'll ensure product excellence by ensuring product compliance during First Article Inspection and ongoing production processes. Program Bluelight Scanning Units and CMM machines at the controls according to blueprints and models; complete the set-up; trouble shoot tooling and fixture issues; review repeat jobs for process improvement; inspect parts for accuracy and calibrate gauges and fixtures

What You’ll Do:

Responsible for the creation of CMM/Bluelight programs that generate a part that is compliant to customer-supplied blueprints/models/specifications and that will meet the routed times.

Liaising with Engineering to execute Layout / First Articles on NPDI products and processes in accordance with company requirements and AS9102.

Measurement, verification and proving of wax pattern dies, fixtures, gauges and tooling as part of New Product and ongoing Production development.

Support Engineers in the process of measuring and understanding Wax through Metal dimensional changes and correlations.

To help coordinate Internal Calibration system, identifying, tracking and reporting out-of-calibration gauging equipment in all Operations areas.

Provide leadership and direction to CMM Programmers, fostering a high-performance team environment while ensuring efficient workflow, program accuracy, and adherence to quality and inspection standards through continuous improvement and accountability.

Identifying and making improvements to existing inspection programs/routines.

To assist Quality Engineers in achieving Product Qualification (FPQ/FAI/PPAP/SPAP/PPQ etc.) through generation of required documentation to support.

High school diploma/GED with a minimum of 3 years of applied programming experience

Ability to read computerized technical specifications, engineering drawings & specifications and understanding of GD&T ANSI14.5, and strong math required.

Demonstrated proficiency in the set-up and operation of precision inspection gages, measuring tools, computer inspection workstations, and instruments

Demonstrated experience in PC-DMIS and/or MCOSMOS CMM Inspection programming

Computer Aided Design (CAD), Solidworks, Siemens NX, APT, etc. Experience of working with metallic materials, which involve using CMM or structured light equipment.
