10+ years in IT, with at least 3 years in a leadership or mentoring role
Strong object-oriented programming skills; VB.NET preferred, but open to other languages (e.g., C#.NET)
Proficiency in SQL for both development and troubleshooting
Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git/GitHub
Strong interpersonal communication skills; able to work directly with end users and junior developers
Team-first mindset, proactive in bringing solutions and open-minded to various approaches
Nice to have experience
Exposure to Azure and Snowflake
Familiarity with tools like Power BI and Dataiku
Python development experience
Background in agriculture, logistics, or grain/bean systems – highly preferred
Any experience with the OneWeigh SaaS platform is a plus (but can be learned on the job)
Responsibilities of the right candidate
Serve as a technical lead, helping to support and enhance legacy and SaaS applications critical to agribusiness operations
Work closely with business teams to develop solutions, build reports, integrate new software tools, and resolve incidents
Collaborate with vendors on system installations and integrations (e.g., OneWeigh)
Act as a go-to resource for junior developers, offering guidance and mentorship
Participate in incident response, analyzing and resolving system errors and reporting anomalies
Use SQL and .NET (primarily VB.NET) to troubleshoot, build, and support applications
Occasionally travel (3–4 times/year) for onsite software setup or troubleshooting
Contribute to team initiatives including API development, system upgrades, and support process improvements
