Lane also specializes in tunnels, metro and railway systems, as well as airports and water and wastewater treatment plants.
Responsibilities:
Works with management to track and select projects to bid.
Manages the bid team throughout the entire process.
Visits project sites to understand site conditions/restrictions.
Creates a preliminary project schedule based on the information provided in the plans and specifications.
Develops a clear understanding of project specifications.
Works with Supply Chain to assure that necessary subcontractors and vendors are sourced.
Prepares a cost estimate for materials, equipment, utilities, timeline, and required workers.
Advises and assists in preparing bid form, conceptual estimates and negotiated proposals.
Reviews all final estimates to ensure accuracy and completion.
Prepares and tracks budgets.
Tracks historical costs and ensures they are used in estimating new projects.
May independently develop estimates for large or complex projects.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum 8 years of experience
