Join Our Team as a Flight Software Engineer!
What You'll Do:
Write, develop and test low-level firmware, drivers, and software for complex space missions, including free-flying spacecraft and interplanetary rovers.
Participate in formal flight test campaigns.
Collaborate closely with a small, lean, multidisciplinary team.
Contribute to UFO’s future R&D and technology developments.
What We’re Looking For:
Willing and able to work in-person at our office in Pasadena, CA.
Strong programming experience in microcontroller/embedded systems (C/C++/RTOS).
High level of proficiency in testing and debugging complex embedded systems.
Experience with scripting languages for rapid prototyping and concept demonstration (Python, Ruby, etc.).
A flexible mindset with the ability to tackle loosely defined problems.
Bonus Points:
A space-nerd/enthusiast at heart.
Comfortable developing applications for cross-compiled environments.
Experienced in the aerospace, automotive, networking/communications and/or IoT industries.
Proficient in calculus and physics.
Knowledgeable of relevant engineering standards / best-practices.
Familiar with space-specific protocols and interfaces.
