Machinist

A well-established industrial service provider is seeking a Manual Machinist to join its team in Lexington, KY. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on technician who takes pride in precision work and wants to play a key role in the restoration and performance optimization of electric motors and rotating equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate manual machine tools, including lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses

Perform machining and balancing work to restore electric motors and mechanical components

Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical specifications

Conduct dimensional inspections using micrometers, dial indicators, and other tools

Operate forklifts and overhead cranes in compliance with safety procedures

Maintain a clean, safe, and team-oriented work environment

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in manual machining (motor repair experience is a plus)

Proficiency with manual lathes and measurement tools

Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

Familiarity with electroplating processes is preferred

Comfortable with physical work including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods

Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends as needed
