Company Overview:
A leading heavy manufacturing company specializing in producing high-quality industrial products and components is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Quality Engineer. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring that manufacturing processes and products meet or exceed established quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance and Control:
Develop and implement quality control procedures and guidelines to ensure product quality and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Monitor and analyze production processes to identify and resolve quality issues.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address quality non-conformances.
Inspection and Testing:
Perform regular inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to verify compliance with specifications.
Utilize statistical methods and quality tools such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate documentation of quality processes, inspection results, and corrective actions.
Prepare quality reports and present findings to management and production teams.
Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for quality control processes.
Process Improvement:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements that enhance product quality and reduce waste.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing production efficiency and minimizing defects.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, etc.) and regulatory requirements.
Support internal and external audits and address any non-conformities identified during the audits.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in quality engineering within a heavy manufacturing or industrial setting.
Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS), statistical process control (SPC), and root cause analysis.
Proficiency in quality tools such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and FMEA.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Certification in Quality Engineering (CQE) or Six Sigma is preferred.
