About the Role:

In this position, you'll play a vital role in designing and developing electrical systems for custom automation equipment. Working within a collaborative R&D team, you'll contribute to the integration of robotics, vision systems, and intelligent controls. Whether you're an AutoCAD expert or excited to grow in areas like PLC programming and vision systems, this is a role that offers challenge, support, and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Create control and power panel designs using AutoCAD (AutoCAD Electrical preferred)

Specify electrical components, develop schematics, and design automation systems

Troubleshoot and validate equipment and system functionality

Collaborate with mechanical and software engineers to develop new solutions

Contribute to control network architecture and vision system integration

Participate in internal design reviews and validation testing

Work across various environments: office, lab, manufacturing floor, and warehouse

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience

5+ years of experience including industrial control panel design

Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD

Solid understanding of electrical components such as motion controls, sensors, I/O systems, and safety circuits

Familiarity with NFPA70-79 and UL508A standards

Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with both AC and DC controls in robotic/automation systems

AutoCAD Electrical experience

Background in material handling or industrial automation

PLC programming experience (Allen Bradley, Siemens, etc.)

Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet, Profinet, EtherCAT, etc.)
