Contractor Safety Coordinator

Location: Any US Dot Foods Distribution Center

Department: Maintenance

Reports To: Process Safety Manager

Salary Range: $58,819 – $88,229 annually, plus bonus opportunity

As a Contractor Safety Coordinator, you will gather and evaluate all safety related documents and verify insurance meets Dot Foods requirements for all our contractors across all locations.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Setup and manage Dot Foods, Inc. internal Contractor Safety Program at all locations.

Monitor and analyze Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR), Days Away/Restricted Transfer Rate (DART), Certificates of Insurance (COI), OSHA 300 Logs, and Experience Modifier Rates (EMR).

Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA safety programs.

Develop and maintain safety documentation and records.

Ensure onsite contractor evaluations are being completed as required.

Provide training and support to contractors on safety protocols and procedures.

Collaborate with internal teams to promote a culture of safety.

Applies Lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position

YOU MUST HAVE

Occupational Safety degree or equivalent industry experience.

In-depth knowledge of TRIR, DART, COI, OSHA 300 Logs, and EMR.

Familiarity with OSHA and EPA safety guidelines.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency in computer and organizational skills.

Exceptional attention to detail.

ROLE SPECIFICS

Travel – Occasional travel for internal training and meetings. Must have ability to travel independently as needed, without restriction by all modes of transportation, including car, plane, or train.
