Job Title: Manufacturing Supervisor

Location: Winsted, CT

Salary: $76,000 - $91,000

Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Duration: Direct Hire

Position Summary and Special Duties:

As a Manufacturing Supervisor, your day-to-day duties will consist of, but may not be limited to:

Direct the activities of the manufacturing floor to maximize personnel and equipment resources.

Coordinate with Supply Chain to establish product priorities and communicate schedule changes to production teams.

Partner with Quality Control to maintain acceptable inspection standards and communicate results to the shop floor.

Analyze workflows and processes to reduce product cost while increasing output and quality.

Support and reinforce preventive maintenance initiatives across the facility.

Provide technical input for resolving plant-level production issues.

Lead and support environmental, health, and safety (EPA) initiatives.

Drive continuous improvement through process and product enhancements.

Assist in the execution and support of capital projects.

Lead special cross-functional teams to meet business objectives.

Maintain compliance with drawing control system and ISO/AS/Nadcap standards.

Ensure production lot traceability and manage nonconforming product.

Maintain compliance with the Tooling Control Program, approving necessary modifications.

Verify proper calibration of thermal processing equipment.

Review and approve fixture and basket designs used in heat treatment.

Job Specifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or Technology.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Proficient in Lean Manufacturing principles.

Strong structured problem-solving skills.

Prior experience working with ERP systems.

Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills.

Demonstrates a commitment to safety and housekeeping.

Maintains confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
