Location: Tarrytown, NY (4 days per week onsite)

Duration: 3 year project until end of 2028 (likely will extend)

Salary: $250k/year

Must Haves:

15+ years of experience as a Project Controls Director within the construction industry

Strong recent experience managing financial project controls for complex construction projects

Strong financial background - ability to track budget/spend, reviewing financial data from external parties, sales tax reporting, supporting audit reporting requirements, etc.

Strong experience reviewing change order forms from vendors

Ability to oversee Project Managers and make sure their projects are progressing and within budget

Excellent communication and presentation skills - ability to present financial reports to high level executives

Plusses:

Prior experience managing construction projects within the pharmaceutical / biotechnology industry

Working directly for the owner side within the construction space

Experience with Oracle Primavera Unifier for managing capital projects, facilities, and assets

Day-to-Day:

A large pharmaceutical client is looking for a Financial Project Controls Director to sit onsite in Tarrytown, NY 4 days per week. This person will lead the tracking of budget, commitment, and spend for all construction projects, ensuring accurate and up-to-date financial information. They will review program and project schedules, oversee financial information from external parties, and support Sales Tax Exemption Program and Internal Audit reporting requirements.

The Director will collaborate with Engineering Design & Construction Program and Project Directors, Project Managers, and other team members to support key project controls activities. They will provide administrative support to Accounting and Finance teams, participate in executive meetings, and prepare Executive Project Controls reports.

Additionally, this person will review the Master Program Schedule and individual project schedules, track funding requests, and oversee Master Control Budget and project budgets. They will manage project commitments, track project spend, and support Sales Tax Exemption Programs. Lastly, they will work with IA and ED&C Management on the Internal Audit Monitoring Program, oversee financial risk tracking, and support the financial closeout of projects.
