Company Overview

Our client is a privately held real estate investment and management company. The family-owned firm has been operating for over eighty years and has assembled a portfolio of properties in multiple states. The portfolio is comprised of multifamily and commercial properties.They are currently operating approximately 6,000 units across two states with additional developments underway.

Asset Management

Oversee assigned properties: Take responsibility for assigned properties, ensuring optimal financial performance and meeting company objectives.

Coordinate with 3rd party property management company: Work closely with property management teams to ensure properties are running efficiently and effectively.

Complete monthly review of financials and narratives, as well as weekly review of all leasing reports, traffic reports, and delinquencies.

Work collaboratively with property management to identify challenges and execute timely and effective solutions. Troubleshoot renovation execution challenges, including leasing issues, rent performance, excess turn times, etc.

Conduct site visits on a regular basis to include but not limited to review of: curb appeal, status of capital improvement projects, model inspections, expense approvals, and personnel issues.

Manage the annual budget review and approval process for the assigned portfolio. Work collaboratively with property management on budgets, staffing, capital improvements, and other programs.

Construction/Renovation

Create project management workflows: Develop efficient project management workflows for each renovation or construction project.

Source and manage vendors: Identify and manage vendors for renovation and construction needs, ensuring timely and quality work.

Track the progress of construction and renovation projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

Manage renovation accounting: Oversee the accounting of renovation spend to ensure projects stay on budget.

Market Research & Strategic Planning

Market analysis: Stay informed about local real estate trends and market conditions, ensuring that Company’s investments remain competitive and aligned with market demands.

Strategic planning: Work with senior management to define the long-term goals of the portfolio and assist in the development of a strategy to achieve those goals through acquisitions, sales, and value-add improvements.

Experience & Skills

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management or asset management, ideally within multi-family real estate.

Understanding of real estate property management, budgeting, and construction processes.

Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of managing relationships with investors, vendors, and team members.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
